I believe that yoga is for everyone and every body type. It doesn’t matter if you are short or tall, thick or thin or even completely rigid. Yoga continually adapts to suit the needs of the individual. The young have come to explore and develop their potential. The sick and aged have come to find healing and a fresh perspective. Yoga and stretching meets the individual body, mind and spirit where he or she is.
I want to be a part of this mass movement of improving the quality of health and life. Human beings are complex and are comprised of integrated systems, including our relationships with one another and with the environment in which we live. The body posesses an intrinsic, organic wholeness, and the key to health lies within this balanced interaction both internally and externally.
We have an opportunity through our day-to-day activities to influence our degree of wellness. However, this can be challenging because we have to condition ourselves to break the old cycle and introduce new behavior patterns that will, over time, bring the body and mind alive with stability, strength, flexibility and a sense of clarity and well-being.
